About the artist

Mazarine grew up knowing she was love starved. She tried not to make bad decisions because of it, but she did anyway.

Discovering Rebecca Mandeville’s work on scapegoat recovery (plus years of therapy) really freed her to stop chasing familiar feelings. As she let go of old patterns, she found more time to make art. And that is what she is doing now.

Slowing down to feel and really see what’s around her has inspired her. Her brother’s death in 2023 of a COVID-induced heat attack has made her realize she has to make art now. Tomorrow is not promised. His name was Aaron Levine. He wrote a sci-fi novel and directed a one-act play, and was starting his second novel when he died. In honor of his his creativity and encouragement, she goes on.
